I just checked back into my MySpace profile, and I found out that I now have 130 friends and counting! Meanwhile, my friend Teddy is holding steady at 190 of his own. But there's a big difference between his friends and mine. While he's obviously making new friends in and around Charlotte, I've expanded my circle a bit to include Baltimore and Raleigh. It's because I've finally realized that sometimes I need to think outside the box and look in other places to meet new people. Since I used to live in Baltimore, and I have family in Raleigh, I've turned to those two cities to boost my circle. And so far, they've done just that, because I have double the number of friends I had before I decided to expand. But make no mistake, I still love Chicago, because that's where I'm from, and I want everybody to know that.

Plus, Teddy also told me that he's no longer interested in Baltimore, so that means more for me, right? But it's all good, since he's been a great friend since we last met. I wish I could've seen more of Charlotte before I left, but maybe next time, he'll show me more. And besides, it's not a race to see who gets more new friends, it's just me and him trying to expand our social circles. Even though he's focused on one city and I've spread out to three, we have the same goal in mind. Honestly, I wouldn't know what I'd do without him.

One more thing: Teddy recently told me that he's going for his Associates' Degree in Information Technology this fall, and I say good luck to him. I hope he gets what he deserves, and like him, I do believe that he'll find it in Charlotte! I would like to come down at least one more time before the year is through, just to see how he's doing. But I know he'll do well. I just know he will!
