Schumacher’s Barber Shop

This painting is a third scene from Sellersville. The barbershop is on the ground floor of an old brick building that was erected in the 1890’s, and is across the street from the Baum House. One bright, sunny autumn afternoon as I passed by, I was struck by the incredible shadows being cast by the red and white striped awning.
