| This is the Rack and Pinion steering system that I installed in my car. The change to the handling of the vehicle is dramatic. Turning the wheel results in quick changes in the direction of the car. Short movements of the wheel is all that is needed to direct the car to where one wants it to go. During parking maneuvers, I wish I would have bought the power assisted rack. It does get heavy, specially towards the full locks.The turning radius seems to have been increased slightly from the original steering. I do have an issue from a clanging noise emanating from the rack when hitting bumps on the road. TCP so far has been unable to help me on this.I'll keep you posted. |
