| This is our 1933 Ford Tudor Street Rod. Passed Rego in May 2004 after about 6 years of work on weekends and spare time. Still not finished.... Still to do: Details, details, tidy up some of the paintwork I guess, plus trimming of the door trims roof lining etc. Built entirely in our garage and shed at home, all work was performed by me, with an extra hand from Tony Porter when I couldnt handle things on my own. Engine , trans, diff, all chassis work , paintwork, assembly etc etc all done at home. I think its turned out not too bad given the budget and the facility. I know its not perfect and certainly hasnt got the finish of some of the other rods around the place, but every nut, bolt and bit of overspray is all my work for better or worse. Despite the imperfections, ended up passing rego no worries and is now out on the road and havin' fun! The car is built on an original 33 Frame from an Australian 5window coupe, the body was pretty far gone and was sold off to another rodder. The frame was boxed and modified, you know, the usual stuff. 4Bar front with tube axle, semi eliptics on the rear. Powered by tunnel rammed 302C and C10. 9" rear with 3.9 gears. Duece Customs body. Thats about the basics of it. We'll add a few more photos when we can. |
