Number: 56 Title: What We Once Were Type: Fan Fiction ---------- One-line-description: ---------- Short story. Moral dilemma, of Gohan finding out exactly what he's made of. Several flashbacks, lots of philosophy. ---------- Scenes: ---------- He had a thin, reedy frame that his wire-rimmed glasses fit perfectly. Thinning hair combed with a medicore amount of skill, trying in vain to cover what would one day be a rather large bald spot. He stank of sweat, even from a distance. Neverous sweat, the kind that gets worse the more you try to stop it. His undershirt was a mass of stains, both from food and from something else Gohan couldn't identify. "Please, just one moment of your time?" Gohan nodded his assent. "Certainly, sir." The man bowed deeply before him, his hands clasped together so tightly his knuckles were turning white. "I need you... I need you to do something for me. I think you're capable of it." Gohan was curious. Needed him? For what? "What do you require?" "I ask that this be kept in the most strict confidences. I have a task that must be done. It is not an easy task... I am hoping you can help me." Gohan nodded again. Helping he could do; and from the look of things, this man could use some serious help. "Sure. What do I do?" "I want you..." His eyes, behind the wire-rimmed glasses, framing the fear in them, scanned the area suspiciously before he finished his answer. "I want you to kill me." It was going to be one of _those_ days, thought Gohan. ---------- What We Once Were A fanfic by Rick Spiff Most characters/situations based loosely on Dragonball Z, created by Akira Toriyama.
