My scream cut the night air like a bloody knife... or a hook. I think it's strange how the most frightening things can seem funny when you're crazy enough. A dark gallows humor to keep us fighting at our worst. Pan, the bow-legged, suit-wearing monstrosity whose singular allegiance to his higher authority has eclipsed even his duties to family, is gone now. And as I scream his name into the sky, flinging it into the space above and fouling it with all the darkness in my soul, it all seems so pointless, laughably inadequate in the face of what he's done. That bastard. To Hell with him. I'll make him pay. My ship isn't far away. Manned by the Lost Boys, it is the only thing that can help me now. Wendy may be dead, but those who die here don't stay dead for long. Hook will know how to get him back. For his sake, he'd better. ---------- An army of a hundred thousand men stood at the ready, divided into square ranks through discipline and careful planning. They were ready to fight, awaiting only one signal from their leader, all poised to unleash Hell's own fury upon the pitifully small gathering of soldiers in the valley below. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author's notes: I don't quite know where this is going, but here it is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's the characters: Captain Hook Background: Real name unknown. Hook was born over three hundred years ago and is immortal. Most of his time has been spent maintaining a crew of rough-cut space and trying to make one Peter Pan's life a living Hell. Personality: Hook has the feel of a military commander; confident and confidence inspiring. His absolute control over his crew is bucked only by his daughter, whom he does have a soft-spot for. As the commander of a ship full of pirates, Hook is an honorable man and keeps his word... unless he can use it to beat Pan. Description: A mountain of a man, Hook is some 225cm tall and weighs in at 112kg. A well-muscled fighter, Hook is fast and sprightly for someone of his size. He wears a trench coat cut to fit his size and a form- fitting suit not unlike the 'plug suits' of Evangelion. His utterly black eyes are rumored to be the coldest in space. ---------- Lysia Kross Background: Lysia Kross has chosen her name and place in the universe adamantly. The daughter of Hook, Lysia also appears to be immortal and welds powers that rival her father's. Puck is the only person with the power and stomach to hang out around Lysia, and she considers him something of a lacky, if not a friend. Lysia is feared throughout space not for her intelligence, but for her sheer brutality. Lysia has been known to hunt down and kill people to kill time (excuse the pun), she cares nothing for authority or rules, including her father, and always enjoys a good fight. Personality: She is the dangerous psychotic. Also extremely intelligent, Lysia enjoys scaring people with her very presence. Not obsessed or upset with her father in any way, shape, or form, she is just plain evil and could care less what ship she lives on. Peter Pan is a sticking point for her. She deeply loathes Pan's existence and does her best to stomp it out. Among other things, she has a saying that is known to strike fear into the coldest killers' hearts: Kiss eternity. This means she's going to kill you, and when Lysia sets out to do something, it gets done. Period. On the lighter side, she enjoys ball- room dancing and melting people's faces off with electricity. Description: A small girl with an athletic build, Lysia has long black hair and green eyes. She's inheried the strong bone structure of father while remaining about half his size. Despite her stature, Lysia has an enormous reserve of energy at her disposal and is a highly skilled fighter. She fights with a bladed magical staff and her form-fitting uniform has numerous metal bits that can be used as weapons. It's similar to the outfit Hook wears, but instead of a trench coat, she wears a high-collar coat and ---------- Puck Background: Unknown. Puck's been around. His loyalty to Hook is beyond question, and he's quite powerful. He is also involved in the cloak-and- dagger aspects of everything, including Hook's plot to get rid of Lysia once and for all. Personality: Puck sets himself apart by not saying much of anything. He can act amazingly well and doesn't think of anything as being far out. Very reliable and difficult to read. Description: Looks for all the world like an evil businessman. Wears a suit and glasses, has an eerie grin on his face most of the time. Slim build, tall, with well-kept black hair. ---------- Peter Pan Background: The protagonist, this girl with a sword is Hook's most hated enemy. Her skills in combat are awe-inspiring to behold. Pan is immortal and leads the Lost Boys around on her own ship. The old issue between Pan and Hook is so old that it has been forgotten--now only endless vengeance drives them. Personality: Pan is very mischevious and outspoken. She has gained an unusual fear of growing old and dying. Her constant war with Hook seems to have started over something childish and unimportant. Despite her age and the passing years, she has become extremely embittered with her battle against Hook and his minions. Today she seems to fight for the sake of fighting. Her attachment to Wendy is also a childish kind of puppy love, but having anything to fight over is a true blessing to this immortal. Description: Nubile, blond, with a figure most would kill for. Her eyes are green, constantly wearing a true "devil may care" expression that frightens most people. Her normal clothing is a hap-hazard battle suit with a sword of some type always present.
