My death-sense is tingling." - Rick ---------- God was stoked, God had a plan, God was... entertaining. "YOSH!" God, was acting like a fool. "Boss?" As observed by his 'lackey,' Miles. "Nothing, Miles, just getting ready for the festivities." "Oh, okay." God, too, had to prepare for a party, especially this one, because he would be hosting it. The DFT offered their headquarters due to space constraints, so the location was taken care of, but God still had his work cut out for him. Sending out invitations, arranging transportation, hosting, et cetera. Ah, but a party of this caliber? Put on by God? Small organizational problems aside, it was a party not to be missed. ---------- The place: Dimensional Task Force Headquarters, Dimensional Nexus 1-S. The time: D-space 3, +5mmk relative. The event: The party of all eternity. Your Host: The Demon Fist, The Manager of All Creation, God Himself. They came by the millions, the billions. They came by biological transporters and computerized monstrosties that were sometimes literally held together by spit and electrical tape. They came in bursts, ready for action two steps past the front door, they came in vallet parked cars. They brought cases of wine and plenty of good attitude for everybody involved. Most brought friends, some brought significant others. A sizeable minority brought enemies. Hey, sometimes they really didn't know anyone else to ask. And the few that weren't invited brought trouble. Lots of trouble. ---------- The Traveler was dealing with a problem "A scavenger hunt? Are you out of your mind? I'd rather stay here and get plastered." The Traveler frowned at Carrie, rubbing his forehead as he muttered under his breath. "That's what I'm trying to avoid." "I heard that." "I know." "Okay, I'm in. Now where did Liz run off to?" The Traveler began feverently praying. Nearby, the Demon Fist ignored him. ---------- The two parties arrived. Eyes met eyes. Rivalries and auras flared. Weapons were drawn, truces were tossed aside. Everybody started yelling at once. "Kakarotto! DIIIIIEEEE!!!!!" "Vegeta! You murderer!!!" "It's Cycanthus! Carrie, power up, quick!" "Damn it!" "You two?! DIIEEE!!!" "Sakura-san! It's the JUMP Card!" "I see it!" "???" "Hey, it's the Wal-Mart!" "Rick? Dude!" "Kenshin? DIE!!!" "Ranma Saoto--URK!" "What tha' heck's Kuno doin' here?!" "Chuck, dude, what's up?" "KAMEHAMEHA!" "GALLAT GUN!" "Medic!" "Hold still, damn you!" "Kuno, knock it off fer cryin' out loud!" "I SHALL SMITE THEE THIS DAY, SAOTOME! EN GUARDE!!!" God, predictably, was laughing his Holy Ass off.
