Number: 06 Title: The U.S.S. Kamehameha Type: Fan fiction crossover ---------- Original tag-line: ---------- It's five minute mission, to destroy strange, new worlds, and anihilate new life-forms that pose a threat to the glorious V.E.G. empire. ---------- The crew: ---------- Chi-Chi: The captain of the U.S.S. Kamehameha. Desparately in love with the First Officer, Kakarotto. Every time he pisses her off (usually at the beginning of the episode), she takes the most dangerous mission available and sends him down to head up the away team as punishment. Somehow, the big lug always comes back alive with a charming present for Chi-Chi, presented after the away team's triumphant return (minus a few red-shirts caught in the fighting). During this sickeningly sweet scene, the two almost hit it off, then Goku says something stupid and Chi-Chi chickens out and we're back to square one. (this happens _every_ time, despite the best help of Security Officer and head tactician, Vegeta.) Kakarotto: First Officer of the U.S.S. Kamehameha, what he lacks in brains, he makes up for in looks. Luckily, the alien women rarely flock to the First Officer, otherwise the captain would be serving a steaming platter whop-ass to his smug playboy face after every mission. Kakarotto is an amazing fighter despite his cluelessness, a fact only exemplified by his ability to beat the odds on every suicide mission Chi-Chi sends him on. Vegeta: Security Chief, or just Security Officer, as he's the only one on the ship. A real cool guy who doesn't speak unless, A) he's insulting someone, or B) he really needs to. Vegeta has few friends a no love for the V.E.G. He's here just for kicks and maybe to beat up Kakarotto... he seems to be holding an old grudge against the larger Saiyjin. He doesn't have any romantic interests per se, but during a particularly touching moment of conversation with the Science Officer, he hints at a romance far away, and that he misses her. Krirran: Master helmsman and a dedicated crew member. An old friend of the First Officer, Krirran never rose very far in the ranks of the V.E.G. military, but he isn't ashamed of being a pilot. He's very brave, but that's probably just because he hardly ever sees any real action. Krirran is often the shoulder to cry on for the crew, sometimes literally doubling as the ship's councilor. Gohan: Science Officer of the Kamehameha. Anyone who doesn't know Gohan would naturally assume he attained his post of Science Officer by merely being Kakarotto's son. After a few minutes of conversation with him, however, all doubts to his abilities will be dispelled. Gohan is the smartest member of the crew, bar none, and probably the smartest member of the V.E.G. (though he's never been given the opportunity to prove it, and does not desire the recognition anyway). He doesn't do the fighting bit all that much, and doesn't really like it, but he will defend the ship and her crew if pushed. He usually acts as a tactical backup when Vegeta runs out of ideas against a particularly hard enemy. The tough Security Chief has a hard time taking suggestions from a kid, but acknowleges Gohan's intelligence (that doesn't mean he has to like it, though). Nappa: Weapons Officer. First Gunnary Sargeant. And though not technically a security officer, Vegeta often brings him along when the crew needs a little intimidation working for them. Nappa isn't the strongest fighter on board, but for some strange reason that doesn't bother him much, despite his attitude. He and Vegeta were buds before the Kamehameha was even built and still maintain a friendship of sorts during the adventures they face. Nappa, as his title implies, mans the guns aboard the Kamehameha, and is an expert shot. The only thing left to talk about is his skill at Zen philosophy. Bulma: Chief Engineer. This rag-tag Special Forces reject has been bounced from more top secret labs than she even knew existed and ended up with the worst post in the universe. Due to the... unique nature of her crew, the U.S.S. Kamehameha is in constant need of repair both inside and out. And when something doesn't work right (which is often), she really gets it from the short-tempered fighters on board (and survives, which is interesting). Kakarotto's general good nature has probably saved her life on numerous occasions, and for his bravery she's developed a small big-brother complex (yes, they're related; don't ask). Apart from those problems, she's an excellent engineer, though somewhat excitable. Her main squeeze is the ship's cook (and that's a whole other story). Yamucha: Ship's cook, from the planet Gumball. Yamucha claims he's a desert bandit. He has not one iota of proof to offer, yet maintains steadfastly that his trade is robbing people. During their mission to Chewpoint station, Yamucha helped the crew of the Kamehameha greatly. Despite the fact the planet was blown up after the whole affair was over (by a rogue comet, no less) Yamucha never worried much about his situation. He felt it was his destiny to continue to be a bandit, but roaming space just wasn't his thing. The Captain eventually decided to let him stay aboard the ship as a crew member, despite his promises that he would stay a desert bandit until his dying day and would not be held responsible for anything that happened if they let him stay aboard. To this day he hasn't run off with the ship's riches (if there were any to begin with), though he maintains that he will if given the opportunity to. The more insightful captain, however, has seen the love between him and Bulma grow with the passing parsecs, and knows that someday his soul will be saved... Chau-Zu: High Command Intelligence Officer. Despite his instantly noticeable looks, Chau-Zu's fighting ability has been a mystery to many of his opponents. His knack for pinning down that one little detail that everyone else misses and walking out of tight spots like a greased-up gerbel has earned him the nickname 'The Immortal.' He is the best, most powerful, and most feared Intelligence Officer in the V.E.G., though his primary interests remain hitting on chicks and playing ping-pong. Tienshinhan: Master Swordsman of the Gandault kingdom, guard of the Imperial Hall and First Legion of personal guards to the Emperor himself. Tienshinhan's life has been many repeats (err, re-runs?) of one story: the wrong place at the wrong time. After attaining his title by accident, this honest beyond belief fighter continuously stated he wasn't worthy to guard royalty, but after a few brushes with incredibly good luck (or the power of the author), he was elevated to the most coveted position in the Imperial Hall. His shining success has earned him enough admirers to 'disgust me for life... if they stop sending chocolates' and enough enemies to gnaw away at his luck like nothing the crew of the Kamehameha have ever seen before. Tien is basically 'the luckiest guy in the universe' granted power, skill and... well, luck beyond imagination. He, of course, would say 'cursed' rather than 'granted,' but he never fails to help when it is needed and is a good sport about life in general. Mr. Satan: Imperial High Command, V.E.G. Commanding Officer. This is the 'external' commander. Whoever really guides the V.E.G. is a lot tougher than this wash-out. In the years since his glorious rise to power, Commander Satan has done nothing of note, or worth, though the V.E.G. seems to stumble along just fine without him. ---------- Synopsis: ---------- Basically what the tag line implies. The crew goes around on strange missions, doing what they do best. Humor abound. Occasionally there's a possibility of a Poignant Moment, but then we return to good-natured humor and blowing up planets for yuks.
