Synposis:

Hiro Saotome is Ranma Saotome's honor-bound brother. Hiro's parents were
murdered by some Very Cruel People, and through means not clearly
explained (or created in my mind) Hiro wound up in Genma and Nodoka's
care at the tender young age of four. Worried that the VCP's who killed
Hiro's family would come after his, Genma took the two boys on a
training trip, acting like a complete fool to draw attention away from
his wife. Nodoka, for her part, trained intensely until she was a
fighter to truly be feared. Genma taught the boys like a man posessed,
and quickly they became the best the world had ever seen.

Eventually, Genma let 14-year-old Hiro go on his own in a search for
revenge. Ranma stayed by his father's side, and eventually the pair went
to China on their training journey before deciding to return home and
see Nodoka. Though the problem with certain VCP's is long gone, the pair
has a new problem to deal with. Hence, they hole up at the Tendo dojo to
plan their reunion with Nodoka.

And that's when Hiro comes back.

Hiro's a bit different. His later training was centered around simply
eliminating the VCP's who killed his parents, so his quite on-guard and
very 'comfortable' with the idea of actually killing people. He doesn't
like to talk much about what he did with the VCP's, but rest assured
they won't be a problem. Instead, Hiro's antics will till the Ranma 1/2
universe rather thoroughly, hilarity ensuing left and right, as Hiro
messes up an already crazy universe.

Of the running gags, the Saotomes seem to just get whatever they need,
weapon-wise, even if it's illegal. When the fuzz comes around, said
stuff disappears.

[Ranma is missing, Hiro prepares to go after him, and Akane wants to tag
along.]

Hiro continued shoving items into his pack. Gun. Explosives. Knives.
"You do not know where he is being held? I shall contact my intelligence
services."

Akane pleaded with him. They were wasting time talking. "You don't have
to. I think I know who took Ranma. He's been to their village before."

"So you want to head into unknown territories--"

"I have map." Akane interjected.

"Drawn by Ranma?"

Pause, "Yes..."

Hiro stood up from his packing. "Into totally unknown territories filled
with unknown opponents with unknown abilities, skillss, and
tactics--tactics which are adequate to capture Ranma from this very
compound without our notice. Are you aware of the danger we face?"

Akane began twiddling her thumbs self-consciously. "I'm worried about
Ranma."

Hiro opened the room's safe and began putting ammunition from it into
his bag. "He is alive. From what I learned of his past, he has most
likely not been kidnapped in order to be a human sacrifice, and any
force that is likely to capture him would hold him until a time more
suitable to their needs, probably not more than a week, but certainly
more than one day. We shall be upon him tomorrow, and destroy his
captors."

"You mean kill them." Akane said.

"It is the safest way to ensure Ranma's survival and our safety. If he
were dead, honor demands I destroy them anyway. There is no choice to be
made in this matter."

Ranma strolled into the room. "Man, that Mousse has been a pain in the
ass since... hey Akane, hey 'bro, whatcha guys doing?"

"RANMA!" *Glomp!*

"Brother, we feared for your safety.... Akane, please allow him to
breathe."
