Lifes Too Short
Methuselah lived to be nine hundred and sixty nine,
I am now fifty and so far healthy and still doing fine.
Methuselah's age I'm sure I will never reach,
It's such a great distance and that won't be my fate.
Life is but a vapor and time sure gets away,
Life on earth is short, mine or Methuselah's way.
I'm sure Methuselah thought the very same as me,
When looking back on life it was very short indeed.
My life has been a good one up until this time,
It's had it's ups and downs but this life is only mine.
So it's left up to me to live it as only I can,
To leave my mark behind as a good and righteous man.
So as your passing thru the life that is your very own,
Live it as a blessing each day for tomorrow it will be gone.
Do the very best you can to smile along the way,
Knowing a smile will touch each life you pass all thru your days.

No matter what ups and downs may come as you live your life upon this earth.
In the end it will have been to short on that you can depend.
So make your life a good one for it's only you who can.
