Prom night... well, this was a very hectic day for me I guess. It started by me waking up around 10 o'clock, yeah I know, what a challenge that is for an 18 year old boy eh? I had to get up so I could find someone who could cut my hair, now that was tricky... It's the day of prom, and most places are already packed with people trying to get their prom hair done up, and I want mine chopped off, yay. I knew most fancy places were going to be busy with schedules, so I called my old barber Greg to cut it. He wasn't going to until I told him prom was happening tonight, so luckily he decided to do it for me.

11:45am was my appointment with Greg. His shop wasn't exactly open, but he let me in, so I guess I was lucky. Surprisingly when I got in there though, he already had two customers, so I guess maybe not so lucky. After about 30 minutes, I finally got out of there and I had to go Soup's house to pick him up to pick up his prom date. He needed my parents cell phone to call her on the way, since she lived out of town, to find directions to her house. Of course, I forgot the cell phone when I went to get my hair cut, so I had to go back home, another 10 minutes because of a detour I took since I met up with two friends who needed a ride. I had to pick Soup up at 12, but by now, its about 12:10 or so and I never got to his house until about 12:23pm. I told his prom date, Darcie, that I was going to be there at 1-1:30pm, and since it takes about an hour to get to where she lives, I was pretty close, arriving in Lockeport about 1:26pm. Writing this about 2 weeks later, I'm surprised I can remember any of the dates or times, just be thankful!

On the way up there, I was surprised I didn't get there sooner! I was driving about 160 on the straight-stretches, I blew the flower off the little car freshener, it was pretty cool, but if my parents found that out, I probably wouldn't be driving long, so hush-hush!!
When we got back to Soup's house with Darcie's dress in the trunk, we just stuck around there for a couple hours, not a whole lot happened. At 1pm, Alice went in to get her hair done up, so when we got back to Soup's house at around 2:30 or so, she would've already been done and back home, so I called to see when she wanted pictures done up... I was starting to get pretty flustered by now, getting anxious for prom, I couldn't really sit still... maybe I should've sat a little longer? It wouldn't really matter, I didn't get away from Soup's house until 5 or so, just in time for supper, and an hour before we had to get going to the Grad March at the arena before Prom started.
When I got home, I got called by Alice, her wanting to know where I was... I didn't know what the hell I was doing or where I was supposed to be, so I just changed into my tuxedo, after I found out what I was going to wear. (Final pictures can be found of Alice and I here.)

So I went to Alice's afterward and got some pictures taken at her house by her mother... when she finally figured out how to use the shutter on the camera, and then we were off to the arena for the Grad March... now that was a waste of time. We're all just standing around, chatting and what not, starting to get rather hot since the sun is at its highest point practically, and they want us to walk about 25 feet in front of about 300 people wanting to take our pictures... its only about 25 degrees celcius outside. I had already gotten pissed off at my buttoneer thing, nobody was helping me put it in, so I just gave up on it and left it in the car... I gave Alice her corsage, it was red and white, pretty cool, but the elastic was a little big for her wrist, so it fit rather loosely. After a few minutes, we met back up with Soup and Darcie, all dressed up. Soup in a tuxedo of course, kind of like a pirate shirt that looked cool & expensive, and Darcie with an odd Japanese style dress with chop-sticks in her hair. What an odd couple? Or not.

After the seemingly hour grad march into the heat of no dispair, we got situated back in the curling arena where our prom was. It was nice in there. Tons of food, drinks, and a DJ with cool hawaiian style decorations everywhere on the walls. So of course, we went to get pictures taken again from Alice's mother and some of our closer friends.
Well, I'll skip the boring stuff, everything was pretty great, the DJ even fucked up once and the power shut off cause the lights and sound were drawing too much power or something... I'm not even sure it was his fault, but it was pretty funny. That night they had Limbo competitions, threw around a huge beach ball, they had YMCA playing.. ugh, they played Locomotion, the Macarana, and they had a train going around the gym which was kind of cool. Of course, the night wasn't really so much about what we did, but who was there. Some of us even got to eat real coconuts, to go with the hawaiian theme of course. That was interesting, even though coconuts taste gross. I took mine home... but it got moldy inside and started to turn greeish colour instead of white, thats not pretty. I told Jeremy that I was going to pick him up after work. Since Prom ended at 12, I figured 11 o'clock would be late enough, and thats what time Jeremy got off work too, so it was perfect.
When we got Jeremy and everyone got changed or was changed, we went back to my house to watch Biker Boyz with Lawrence Fishbourne in it. So that pretty much ended my night, but it was still a nice night... very tiring, but nice.
