Well, this has been a very interesting two days I must say. Red and Grey Day, or Dead & Gay Day to some, went uh.. shitty up until about 2 o'clock or so. The stupid teachers locked us inside the soccer/track field in the cold, with temperatures about 4 degrees celcius or w/e... so half of us are like freezing our asses off! So after about 45 minutes of freezing watching a fucking soccer game, or looking around as most people were, they finally let us inside, where Knight Lights had to set up our equipment... OUTSIDE again! Ugh... stupid teachers! It's fucking cold outside, why the hell tell us to set up outside?? So yet again, I get to freeze... then I get called into the gym to help get rid of a portable stage (that looks like about 12 tables shoved together)... so after setting up that shit, we had to take it down like 2 hours later, and push it down the hall... like, 110lb tables, lifting them individually...
The first day at the Haunted Lighthouse went fairly well! Around 340 people showed up, paying 2 dollars a piece. Since I was scaring people, I had to lean over a bench thing with a shirt over my head for a headless person, putting my 'head' into a guillotine which chopped off a fake head... so after that, even with foam padding and the support of my pants, my knees are probably pretty banged up from kneeling for just over 65 minutes straight... just what I need!
The second day of the Haunted Lighthouse went better, for the most part. 450 people showed up this time, making us clear somewhere around 1500 bucks unless we had more/less people than I thought. Scaring people was a little bit harder though tonight... where I 'self-stationed' myself, I never had a very good technique or ne thing, so people pretty much laughed more than yelled/screamed. Everything was going good up till about 8:30, when the mask I was wearing started getting very sweaty... so I took it off a couple times, walked upstairs to sit down and breathe.
Around 9 o'clock, I decided to check out the line-up outside, realized there was still about 20 people outside the door, so I took a walk upstairs to look out the dome of the lighthouse... Stupid me walked half-way around the top floor, then decided to back-track, only watching the people, and I fell down the stairs, but luckily caught myself half-way into down the metal stairs... but I still suffered some bruises. My two middle fingers on my left hand were cut open, I have a bruise on my left shoulder blade about the size of a hardball, one cut on my right ankle bone, and three bruises on the right side of the same leg. I'm in pretty hard shape! Well, nights finally over... not much to do but go the hell home and relax, or try... make it through Thursday, and Friday will come faster than normal. Thank god!
