JOHNCAPENTER'S HALLOWEEN- HALLOWEEN III DISTRIBUTION
This non - Michael Myers sequel was released to theaters in October, 1982 in the United States.Universal Pictures distributed this, just the same as Halloween II. Like its predecessors, Halloween III- Season of the witch was filmed at 2.35:1 widescreen ratio.Although the movie didn't feature Michael Myers like the pasr two movies the movie did do pretty well it made $16 Million in the USA.The Movie was released on VHS Video in 1984 by MCA video.

1984 MCA Home Video Version

Halloween IIIwas first released in 1984 by MCA Videocassette. This version is now out of print and is very hard to find.

1988 MCA Home Video
In 1988, Halloween  III was released again by MCA Home Video.Is Version had a picture and has new front cover art work.

1994 MCA/Universal cover
In 1994 it was re-released by MCA / Universal.The same holds true for this version as does the 1990 version of Halloween II.

1996 Goodtimes version
In 1996, Halloween III was released by Goodtimes under license from MCA.This version is in LP mode and is also has a very crappy picture.

1998 Goodtimes DVD video version
On September 26th 1998 Goodtimes released Halloween III- Season Of The Witch on DVD for the first time.The DVD inclues no features but the film it self contained 2.35:1 Non-Anamorphic Widescreen, English French Spanish Subtitles and a Scene Access menu.This version is still available priced around $20.The video rights for Halloween III are now owned by Universal again so in 2002 expect a new version of Halloween III on the way.

UNITED KINGDOM HALLOWEEN III DISTRIBUTION
1985 Thorn EMI Video version
Halloween III: Season of The Witch was first release on Video in the United Kingdom in 1985 by Thorn EMI video.
Most of these versions have abig sticker at the bottom with the 15 ratting sign on them because of the BBFC act of 1985.This version was deleted in 1989 and is also hard to find.

1989 Warner Home Video Version
In 1989 Warner Brothers home video took over the Halloween III UK video rights they only released the film once on  VHS.This version had a dark front cover and you can't really make out what is there and the film is a very crappy picture but alot better an the Thorn release..After Thorn Video took over the rights, Halloween III was cut in 2 places on Home video.Some Parts were cut in these scenes- The Old Man getting hes head riped off and the bugs coming out of the lady's mouth.This version was deleted in 1991.

2000 M.I.A Video Versions
In After nearly 10 years of being deleted the M.I.A (Castle Home Video) finaly pick up the Halloween III video rights.
At this time the M.I.A had the rights to Halloween, Halloween II and now Halloween III (Why they never released a box set I never know??) .They release Halloween III on VHS and DVD for the first time on Monday the 9th of October 2000.The DVD was released with no features except a menu scene not even any Subtitles.But one good thing about this release was that the M.I.A had release Halloween III uncut with a better picture.These versions are still available and both under the price if �5.
Halloween Series Box Set (Halloween III included) 2002
This coming Halloween Anchor Bay, would bough the rights to Halloween III last year are going to release a special Halloween series box set that will include Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween III, Halloween 4, Halloween 5 and Halloween: H2O.The box set is released on October 1st 2002.
