HALLOWEEN 5- THE REVENGE OF MICHAEL MYERS- FACTS, GOOFS AND TRIVIA
Fact and Trivia The German theatrical version was cut to get a "16" rating. On video, two versions were released, the "16"-one for sell-thru and an uncut "18"-rated version for the rental release. The Producer's cut shows the Man in Black abducting Michael and Jamie from the Police Station at the end. This is also shown at the beginning of Halloween 6: the Producer's Cut. Goofs The Myers House is shown as a huge, Gothic mansion, whereas in Halloween (1978) and Halloween II (1981), it is shown as a small, two-story Victorian house. The mask that Michael wears is supposed to be the same one that he had on in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988). Despite this fact, the mask has different facial features and the neck hangs down over the shoulders. When Mike is parking his car outside the store where Spitz works, we can see lighting equipment hanging over the car reflected in its shiny surface.
HALLOWEEN- THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS- FACTS, GOOFS AND TRIVIA
Fact and Trivia There is a version of this sixth Halloween film which has many scenes not shown in the theatrical release, as well as a different title/logo, different character developments, and a different ending. This "Producer's Cut"'s most noticeable differences are: The movie begins with a flashback to 1989 in which Jamie is kidnapped by the Man in Black before the police station explodes. Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasance) does the voice-over narration at the beginning of the movie, not Tommy Doyle (Paul Michael Rudd). Michael Myers does not kill Jaimie Lloyd right away; she lingers in a hospital for half the movie, and is eventually shot by the Man In Black. There is a very different ending to the movie which replaces everything after the scene in which Kara is captured by the cult members. In the alternate ending Dr. Loomis shoots whom he thinks is Michael Myers. It turns out to reveal the identity of the mysterious man in black from the fifth film. He says, "Now the game's on you, doctor..." before he dies. Loomis screams with fear because as he looks at his wrist, it suddenly becomes marked by the rune of Thorn, thus making Loomis the new guardian of Michael. The film ends with Michael now donning the clothing of the man in black, thus opening the door for another sequel. In the home video version, when the father is killed by Michael Myers in the basement, the massive dose of electricity his body takes causes his head to explode. In the alternate cut, for some reason, this is not shown. According to the official halloween website under the faq section, some scenes from the producers cut are shown in the television cut for the UPN network. Goofs When Kara calls home, Beth answers a cordless phone, which would not work without electricity. Continuity: There is no bus route from Pontiac to Dwight, although it says there is on the map at the Haddonfield bus station.
