DESKSTOP PUBLISHING ASSIGNMENT

Select a typeface designer and research their life and produce editorial material (around 500 words are required).

The editorial material should contain a brief history of the designer, typefaces and references to the printing technology of the time. Books and the internet may be used, but the final editorial material must be your own.

Using the editorial and any illustrative material including typeface samples, produce a design layout for a full page magazine feature. Produce the page using desktop publishing software.

PRESENTATION
For assessment you must produce:

(a) Editorial word process (around 500 words)

(b) Six thumbnail rough visuals to show ideas

(c) Laser proof of page

Page size: A4 (210 x 297mm)
Type area: 257 x 170mm
Colours: Black and another colour
Grid: To suit, must fit inside type area
