| The 1800 gallon pond had gotten too small, so it was decided to increase the depth by adding 3 bricks high to the side. This increased the size to about 220 gallons. The skimmer needed to be raised, but there was just adequate liner available. A vortex filter was added to the 4000 gallon pond to try to keep some of the solids out of the bead filter. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| My koi greenhouse. This frame is covered with a bubble pack like swimming pool solar heater and two layers of polyethylene sheeting. I have two 15 amp immersion heaters, thermostat showing at edge of wall. I try to maintain 70 degrees. It is fun swimming, pruning, feeding with snow on the ground. |
