UCPC To Host a Systema RMA Seminar
Special Invitation to UCPC, Russian Martial Arts Event
UCPC will be the host church of a seminar in Russian Martial Arts. I would like to especially encourage members of UCPC to attend. Systema is a martial art that grew out of the Russian/Soviet special forces (Spetsnaz) and has roots in the Russian Orthodox faith. To read more on Systema and the seminar, please visit the Systema Review site. You may especially be interested in the link on the left to "Faith and Systema." Systema is more than a martial art, it promotes good health and helps reverse the effects of aging. There is no one too old or too young to participate and we can always accomodate work to physical restrictions as needed. Do not think you are not physically able to participate.
The Richmond Systema group began meeting at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Richmond so you will see several references to that church. My hope is that it will be a non-denominational ministry of sorts and I hope some of you can help make that goal real.
I would be happy to talk with you about any questions or concerns you might have about joining the group or about the seminar.
