Has been working with law enforcement since 1991. Since then he has worked at various times as an officer at the local, county, state, and Federal level. He is a veteran of the United State's Army Military Police. He is employed full-time as a dispatcher by the Vermont Department of Public Safety. Rich has been an office with the Swanton Village Police Department since 1999. He also works part-time for the St.Albans City Police Department and the Franklin County Sheriff's Department. Rich enjoys motor vehicle law and is frequently consulted to interpret and explain the various sections of Vermont's traffic laws. He is on of the areas top producers of DUI arrests and has attended the SHARP ( Safe Highway Accident Reduction Program ) supervisor's course. He also has an interest in accident reconstruction.
