I remember that morning so clearly, just like it was yesterday.
I had stayed home from work, because my little girl wasn't feeling well, and I was taking her to the doctor. I was in the shower when the phone rang, and didn't think twice about it until my dad knocked on the door and said, "Did you hear that message?".
I said "No." and he said, "It was Sherry and she sounded upset.". I couldn't even begin to imagine what could make her upset. My first thought was that our mutaual friends husband who had just recently had a stroke had passed away. I listened to the message, and heard the pain in her voice and knew there was something
terribley wrong, although she hadn't said what was wrong. With shaking
hands I looked up her phone number in my address book, and dialed the phone. When she answered I immediatly said, "Sherry what is wrong?" And she said "Richie is gone." My heart sunk, and I fell to my knees on the livingroom floor, still in my towel from the shower, "What do you
mean gone?" I asked. "Did he leave?". "He killed himself," she cried, and my whole life changed forever. From Sharon
