Loren J. Shriver
Loren Shriver was selected as an astronaut in NASA's eighth class (1978).  During his career, he flew in space three times.  His first mission was as pilot of STS-51-C in 1985.  Next, he served as commander of STS-31 in 1990; this was the mission which deployed the famous Hubble Space Telescope.  His final misison was in 1992 when he commanded STS-42.

My Collection: Above is a hand written letter where Shriver lists the STS-42 crew (as of Feb. 1991), it is signed at the bottom.  Below is a water survival course cover which Shriver ha autographed (as have 13 other astronuauts).  There is a close-up of his signature below the image of the cover.
