| Loren J. Shriver | ||||||||||||
| Loren Shriver was selected as an astronaut in NASA's eighth class (1978). During his career, he flew in space three times. His first mission was as pilot of STS-51-C in 1985. Next, he served as commander of STS-31 in 1990; this was the mission which deployed the famous Hubble Space Telescope. His final misison was in 1992 when he commanded STS-42.
