| Brewster H. Shaw, Jr. | ||||||||||
| Brewster Shaw was selected as an astronaut in NASA's eighth class (1978). He would fly on three space shuttle missions during his career. His flight came in 1983 when he served as the pilot on board the famous STS-9 mission. Next, he was assigned to serve as the commander for STS-61-B flight in 1985. Shaw's final mission came in 1989 when he commanded STS-28. He retired from the astronaut corps in 1989 having logged 22 days in space. My Collection: This is a astronaut water survival course cover which Shaw has autographed (as have 13 other astronauts). There is a close-up of his signature below the image of the cover. |
