Steven R. Nagel
Steven Nagel was selected as an astronaut in NASA's eighth class (1978).  He would fly on four space shuttle missions during his career.  His flight came in June of 1985 when he served as a mission specialist on board the STS-51-G mission.  Next, he was assigned to serve as the pilot for the STS-61-A flight which was launched in October of 1985.  His third mission came when he commanded STS-37 in 1991.  Nagel's final flight was in 1993 when he served as the commander on board STS-55.  He retired from the astronaut corps in 1995 having logged 30 days in space.

My Collection: This is a astronaut water survival course cover which Nagel has autographed (as have 13 other astronauts).  There is a close-up of his signature below the image of the cover.
