| Jack Lousma was selected as an astronaut in NASA's fifth class (1996). During his career, he flew in space twice. His first mission came in 1973 when he served as the CMP (Command Module Pilot) for the second Skylab flight (Skylab 3). During this flight, his crew set a new space flight endurance record. His second mission assignment was in 1982 when he flew as the commander for the STS-3 shuttle mission. Lousma retired in 1983 having logged 67 days in space. My Collection: This is an STS-3 cover which Lousma has autographed, it is cancelled on the mission's launch date (3/22/1982). |
