Henry W. Hartsfield, Jr.
Henry Hartsfield was selected as an astronaut in NASA's sixth class (1969).  He would go on to fly on three space shuttle missions.  On his first flight he served as the pilot for the STS-4 mission in 1982.  This was the final flight of the two manned Space Shuttle Orbital Test Program and made the shuttle officially operational.  His second mission came in 1984 when he commanded STS-41-D, the maiden flight of the Space Shuttle Discovery.  His final mission was STS-61-A in 1985, again commanded by Hartsfield.  He retried from the astronaut corps in 1988 having spent 20 days in space.

My Collection: This is an official NASA 8x10 litho autographed and inscribed by Hartsfield.
