| Dominic Gorie was selected as an astronaut in NASA fifteenth class (1995). During his career, he has flown three space shuttle missions. For his first assignment, Gorie was given the job of serving as the pilot for STS-91 in 1998. Next, he flew on STS-99 in 2000 again serving as the mission pilot. His first command came 2001 when he was launched on board the STS-108 space shutle mission.
