Edward G. Gibson
Edward Gibson was selected as an astronaut in NASA's fourth class (1965).  He made only one flight into space during his astronaut career.  That mission was Skylab 4, which was launched in November of 1973.  Gibson served as the science pilot for this mission, which was the final flight of the Skylab program.  During this mission, his crew set an endurance record which was not broken for several years.  They landed safely in February of 1974, after 84 days in space.  Gibson retired from NASA in 1982.
