| Christopher Ferguson was selected as an astronaut in NASA's seventeenth class (1998). He has yet to fly his first mission into space. He was assigned to serve as pilot on board the STS-115 shuttle flight this year but after the loss of the Space Shuttle Columbia, all space shuttle missions are currently on hold.
