| Robert Curbeam was selected as an astronaut in NASA's fifteenth class (1995). He has flown in space on two missions. His first space flight was the STS-85 mission in 1997 on which Curbeam served as a mission specialist. Curbeam also served as a mission specialist during the STS-98 shuttle flight in 2001.
