Walter Cunningham
Walter Cunningham was selected as an astronaut in NASA's third class (1963).  His only space flight was on the first manned mission of the legendary Apollo program.  He was assigned as the possition of LMP of the Apollo 7 mission, a flight which had no Lunar Module.  This was a key mission in October of 1968 which tested the systems of the Apollo capsule which would eventually take other astronauts to the moon.  This mission was critical in mankind's voyage to the moon.  Cunningham retired from NASA in 1971 having spent 10 days in space.

My Collection: This is an autographed 8x10 photo of Cunningham inside the Apollo 7 capsule during the mission.  The inscription reads, "At work on day 9, 10/20/68, Walt Cunningham LMP Apollo 7."
