Franklin R. Chang-Diaz
Franklin Chang-Diaz was selected as an astronaut in NASA's ninth class (1980).  So far he has flown on a record tying seven space shuttle missions.  In 1986, he served as a mission specialist for the STS-61-C mission, this would be the final shuttle mission before the Challenger disaster.  Next he was a mission specialist on STS-34 which flew in 1989, this was the mission that deployed the famous Galileo probe that was going to Jupiter.  His third mission was STS-46 on which he served as a missions specialist in 1992.  Next he flew as one of the mission specialists on the 1994 flight of STS-60.  His fifth mission came in 1996 when he served as payload commander on STS-75.  He was also a mission specialist on STS-91 in 1998 and later on STS-111 in 2002.  During his seven missions, Chang-Diaz has logged 66 days in space.
