Vance D. Brand
Vance Brand was selected as an astronaut in NASA's fifth class (1966).  During his time as an astronaut, Brand flew in space four times.  His first mission came in 1975 when he served as the CMP during the American portion of the historic Apollo-Soyuz Test Project.  He would fly his second mission in 1982 as the commander of this first fully operational space shuttle mission, designated STS-5.  This would be followed by his command of the space shuttle mission STS-41-B in 1984.  His final mission was to command STS-35 which flew in 1990.  He retired from the astronaut corps in 1992.  He logged 31 days in space during those four missions.

My Collection: Above is an official NASA 8x10 litho which he as autographed.  Below is an 8x10 Skylab Rescuw crew photo (a mission that never flew) but Brand was assigned too.  Brand (mission commander) has signed it as has the CMP Don Lind.  Below that is an autographed 3x5 unlined notecard.
