| Karol J. Bobko | ||||||||
| Karol Bobko was selected as an astronaut in NASA's seventh class (1969). During his career, he would make three flights into space but his first mission wouldn't come until he had been an astronaut for 14 years. He made his first space flight in 1983 has pilot for the maiden voyage of the Space Shuttle Challenger, STS-6. His second mission was the command of STS-51-D which flew in April of 1985. His third and final space flight was to command the maiden voyage of the Space Shuttle Atlantis which was designated STS-51-J, this mission flew in October of 1985. Bobko retired from NASA in 1989, he logged 16 days in space. My Collection: This is an official NASA 8x10 litho which Bobko has autographed and inscribed. |
