The Union Printers Home can be glimpsed through the snow
The snow kept up pretty much nonstop for twenty-four hours, only ceasing around nine or ten last night. George did still brave the icy and treacherous roads to bring his van and cart my DJ winnings off to Mister Music, where to my pleasant surprise they paid me half again their initial offer: $750 instead of $500. For the first time in a while my financial situation looks less than absolutely desperate.I felt so chipper I bought some of Mister Music's selection of 80s CDs at $1.60 each: Peter Gabriel's So, INXS's Kick, Aerosmith's Pump, Outfield and others that had occasionally tempted me at the record club but never quite enough to purchase. Of course as soon as I mentioned those titles friends wanted to...borrow them, so off into the snow again it will be.
