Welcome to our website. The site is a bit of a hobby for us and a way for friends and family around the world to keep up to date with our news and photos.

Our first baby was born at 07:02AM on Wednesday 14th March 2007 in Bolton Royal Hospital and we chose to call him LUKE EVAN DAVIES.  Luke arrived 3 days early (he was due Saturday 17th) and was quite a big baby weighing in at 8 pounds 4 ounces. Luke arrived in time for Mothers Day on the 18th and Louise's Birthday on the 20th!

We are not sure on the technicalities of exactly when defined labour started but to the both of us it felt like the labour started on Tuesday morning at 03:30, some 26 hours earlier. Luke weighed in at 8 pounds and 4 ounces and everyone says that he looks like his Dad (the poor boy).

Baby Luke is doing well and it has been fun so far getting to know him. He will be four weeks oldn shortly - it's unbelievable how time flies and also how we never have a spare minute anymore at all! He keeps us busy all day long and night. We have had a few sleepless nights, though it has not been too bad and has been bearable if shared. They say the first six weeks is the worst - so if this is it, we are not doing too badly at all. Our parents (now aka Grandmas and Grandads) have been a considerable help and we count ourselves lucky in having them so close by.

Luke has already grown considerably and is already starting to lift his head a little and push some weight through his legs lifting himself up a little. Luke is also starting to notice a bit more with his eyes and look around a little bit. So far he seems to be rather a contented baby, crying only when he needs changing or feeding so hopefully we have got a good one! Initially we did think that that he was very quiet indeed but he has since proven that he can exercise his vocal chords considerably.

Mum who was rather exhausted is now well on the mend and nearly back to being her usual self and Dad is now back at work trying to adjust to a new work/life balance by not staying at work too long. We have  managed to maintain a bit of a social life so far, having friends around for takeaways and a couple of meals out. We are very fortunate in that the other 3 couples we met at NCT child birth classes have become good friends - all are the same age, live close by and our babies (which have now all arrived safely) were all due over a four week period. No doubt our new found friends will be handy for swapping both tips and moans with - Mum is already planning lots of Ladies luncheons and Dad will probably go to the pub with the boys (if he can get a pass out that it is).

We have been overwhelmed by the cards, gifts and messages that we have received following the birth of Luke and can't thank everyone enough for their thoughts and time.  THANK YOU!

We'll be adding bits of news in due course. In the meantime we have placed some more pictures in the photo gallery . So far the website has had over 300 hits! Please come back and visit again!
