| On a cold winter day in January 1988, I bought my first 35mm camera, a used Canon AE1. I remember that day clearly because the exposures I took later were overexposed and blurred. The plummeting temperature had locked the shutter. Since then I have progressed to more stable equipment. |
| I still own a Canon, but the F1 (secondhand) and it has worked well over the years. However, not fully mechanical as the earlier model. To added to my collection is a Konica ranger and Minolta Dimage 7 I am not entirely convinced with digital photograph. The danger solely relying on the camera�s designer's concept of normal exposures can have disastrous results. |

| In the early 1990�s I began to document building that were being demolished in Toronto, Canada. This I believed was the last rite to buildings which was once part of the Toronto�s urban landscapes of industry�s pass. Andrew Awad (below) and I photographed the barren CNN rail carriages, king street west, Toronto in 1993 |
