Slip Case  with book 2003
In 2000, I began a series of ArtBooks using mathematic computer generated patterns, and fixing the image on paper by a process of dyes and varnishes. Every book produced had an unique layering of sheets of coloured pages and objective was to give  the individual turning the page an illusion that the book had a life of its own.

Other elements of the bookworks was the idea that books may be customized to the likes of the owner. I worked with images from the Artists to produced what I call Artists bookworks, in the hope  that it eflected  the owner themselves. I also produced journals and experimented with the covers of the book, yet concentrating with the craft of binding remained focused.

In 2003, I was asked to make a soland Box and observed that the art of making boxes is a art itself. As a footnote, the boxs boards were cut using a shoe makers knife, but this did not detour me from combining both book and slipcase.

One shortfall was during my studies as a binder in Trinidad, Tooling was removed from the syllabus and do I look forward to complete training that area.
