What's this site all about?

Firstly, let me introduce myself. My name is Richard Bowles, and in September 2006 I signed up to do a CIW (Certified Internet Webmaster - makes me sound like Gandalf, doesn't it!) course with UK IT Training at Tolworth Tower.

Part of the course was to get the students to design a "portfolio" web site, something that we could use to show off to potential employers. Now, I already had a web site (and quite a good one, even if I do say so myself!) Click here if you want to take a look. However, I have used this opportunity to prove that I can be sensible and obey all the rules when I feel like it.

This site is therefore dedicated to my CIW course. It contains tutorial materials (chapter summaries etc.), multiple choice tests and so on. I hasten to point out that it's all my own work - nothing has been simply copied! Indeed I hasten to point out that I have been meticulous in avoiding breaches of copyright. The basic facts are the same, but the writing is all my own. I hope that my fellow students might find it useful (Crumbs, that sounds pompous!)

Inevitably, since the site is still new, it will appear a little disjointed. I'm starting with Internet Business Foundations (IBF) and working my way through. Gradually, I will get the bits sorted out and give it a more professional look-and-feel. Bear with me!
