XM Installation - BestTimesNow
These photos are of my installation of a Pioneer FM-Modulated Tuner & control and a Terk SR-2 Roof mount antenna. The existing head unit is a 2 year old Pioneer unit.  The car is '91 Cadillac Coupe Deville.  No drilling was required.  The tuner and antenna was purchased from Cruchfield and delivered by Fex-Ex.  The total cost for the upgrade to receive XM Satellite Radio was $319.85 afterTerk rebate.  Installed on Oct 5, 2001 and upgraded in April, 2002.
Now you can get XM for $150 or less - Click for link

The control unit (left) is about as big as a harmonica and is attached with Velcro.
The antenna needs to be at least 6 inches from the rear window or on the roof.
The Pioneer XM tuner is mounted in the trunk behind the amps.
The head unit has been upgraded to a Pioneer DEH-9300 and uses the IP-BUS connection to the XM tuner.  It sounds GREAT!!!   The switch to the left was added to disable the power antenna.

The FM modulated unit has been moved to my Mustang.
