I bought the home adapter kit for my Sony Pnp that had the cassette adapter with the car unit. The home kit comes with a 6-volt transformer that I plugged into a power outlet in the back of the receiver and connected to the Sony tuner. The home kit comes with a mini jack that has RCA plugs that connect to the line inputs in the back of your home receiver or amplifier. I plugged mine into the tape monitor input jacks. Do NOT plug them into the phono input jacks. The cassette adapter is not used for the home installation. Place the antenna near a south-facing window if you can. I live in a two story house and put the antenna in the attic. The antenna cable was just long enough to reach the attic and the reception is fine. My Advent speakers boxes are 30 years old, but have new speakers. |
