I bought a new 2002 Mustang GT in March '02. I moved my Pioneer FM Modulated XM tuner from my Cadillac to my Mustang. The Mustang GT came with the Mach 460 sound system and has a six disk CD changer, so I decided to keep it and use the Pioneer modulated tuner. |

I mounted the antenna inside. This is not the correct location, but it works fine with this car, in Birmingham, AL. I'll relocate it, if I have signal problems. |

The long, sloping window of the Mustang lets the antenna get the satellite signal with very few "drop outs". I fished the antenna tail under the rear deck. |

PIE Upgrade - Direct connect. The controller on the Pioneer 903 is used to control the channel selection Press CD twice to toggle between CD and Satellite Radio. You could also hook up the SKYFi or Sony PnP using this connecter. |

The PIE connecter on the left is for my MACH 460 radio. The other wire is an IP-BUS to RCA for my Pioneer 903 XM tuner. I removed my FM Antenna. |

The PIE cable plugs into the back of the radio. It also get hooked up to the power & ground. The instructions show which wire to tap into for 12V power. The RCA cables run to the new input source. |

I disconnected the FM Mod cable from the tuner & radio. I added the IP-BUS to RCA device to the tuner & used 12' long RCA patch cables to connect to the radio. WOW! Great improvment over FM Mod. |
