BTN's Home Theater
This is my new home theater that I put in my basement.  After looking at the choices for a HDTV system, I went with a HP ep7120 Home Cinema Projector.  The room is 14' wide x 21' long with a 9' ceiling. The screen is 11'-3" diagonal and the projector throw distance is about 19'-6".
I painted the end wall with Behr flat enamel "Ultra Pure White" #1850 interior paint.  We made some stationary curtains to frame the "screen".  A dark room is needed to  make the picture look it's best.
The picture is fantastic!  I am thrilled with this system!

I have Charter cable and this football game was in HD widescreen format, 16 x 9.
This is the HP projector.  I made the support bracket from a wood TV tray and mounted it just above the basement refrigerator to aviod vibration.  Here's a link to the projector.

I  am using a Yamaha HTR-5760, AV reciever with Bose Acoutimass 6 Series III speakers.  It sounds great!
The Charter HD DVR & HDTV tuner added about $13/mo. to my cable bill.

X-Box games look great, with life size people.
You'd swear you're at the theater with the surround sound and HD picture from this T3 movie.
Screen Shot from X-Box's Forza, from the Road Atlanta Track.  This is a game is a great racing simulator.
My homemade racing chair.  A passenger seat from an old Fiero, mounted on a hand truck, so it's easy to move.

Update: We use this room so much now, so we reworked the room with new ceramic tile, a new area rug, track lights and new paint.
The dark paint in the room helps the picture look brighter.  The hall light can be left on while watching TV.  You can see the front of the projector above the refrigerator.
