Family: Buckwheat (Polygonaceae)

Similar to the Swamp Smartweed and as plastic, varing from aquatic forms with floating leaves to erect terrestial forms which is quite hairy.

Height: 1 1/2 to 6 inches

Found: Swamps, shallow water, ditches and shores.

Blooms: June to September
