Tyrol Knapweed
Centaurea vochinensis

Family: Daisy (Compositae)

Knapweeds lack spines; outer florets simulate rays. Rose-purple; sometimes white. The dark fringed tips of the bracts do not conceal the pale base and therefore give a paler look to the receptacle.

Height: 1-3 feet

Found: Moist fields and roadsides.

Blooms: June-September
