Flowering Spurge
Euphorbia corollata

Family: Spurge (Euphorbiaceae)

Note the milky juice in the broken stem. The 5 round white "petals" are really bracts that surround minute flower clusters. Leaves bright green, long-oval, smooth, alternate (except at base of inflorescence ). The flat inflorescence is usually made up of 5 or 6 branches rising from a whorl of small leaves.

Height: 1 to 3 feet

Found: Fields roadsides, open woods.

Blooms: June to October
