Family: Primrose (Primulaceae)
Nodding pink, lilac or white flowers in umbel, the flower lobes bent backwards like a "shooting star". Stamens form a cone in the center of the flower. Leaves lance-shaped.
Height: 10 to 24 inches
Found: Meadows, open woods, shaded cliff and stream bank.
Blooms: April to June
