Family: Mint (Labiatae)

Note the familiar fragrance and hot taste of the chewed leaves. Flowers in interrupted clusters forming a terminal spike. Plant smooth, branching. Flowers pale violet or pink-purple. Stems purplish.

Height: 1 1/2-3 feet

Found: Shores, wet meadows, and roadsides.

Blooms: July-September
