Cinqufoils suggest yellow-flowered wild strawberries, but most species have radially 5-part leaves (hence the name). This familiar species has prostrate stems, rooting at the nodes. Flowers and leaves rise from runners on seperate stalks.

Height: runners 6 to 20 inches

Found: Fields and dry woods

Blooms: April to June
