Saponaria officinalis

Family: Pink (Caryophyllaceae)

The clusters of the ragged-loooking, scallop-tipped flowers form great colonies along roadsides. Pink or whitish; petal reflexed, sometimes double; leaves oval and smooth. Stems smooth, thick-jointed.

Height: 1 to 2 feet

Found: Roadsides, railroad banks, waste places.

Blooms: July to September
