Description: The opposite ovate leaves of this erect or spreading shrub vary from 3 to 8 cm in length, and the weakly two-lipped flowers may vary from cream to yellow or pink, changing to orange or scarlet. The fruits are poison.
Blooms: Spring to fall
Found: A native of the sandy pinelands of Florida, adjacent Georgia, and west to texas and tropical America.
