Sudbury Opera Guild
ph: 522-0012 (310-1720 Paris Street, Sudbury, ON, P3E-2C6) This Guild has 10 week courses opening the beginning of March to all ages. Meetings are the first Sunday of each month at Cambrian College from 2-4 pm if you'd like to sample one and find out more as well as the cost. There are different rates depending on age category such as a senior rate. On average 3 excursions a year take place but may be optional to you as far as participating on them goes. There will be a total of 2 shows on average for each of these excursions. The group is on the pinnacle of their 20th anniversary. The meetings are in 2 main parts seperated by a coffee break. The first being the presentation, the second being the minutes. This is non-profit group that supports bursaries and charities through member selection. They have an extensive audio-visual library pertaining to operatic potential. The library consists of VHS and DVD with players offered for a month rental time at a very low rate.
